Bovada Affiliate Program Review: Tiers, Application and Risks

Bovada's affiliate program pays 25% to 35% of NGR, 45% on casino NGR above $50,000 a month. What it publishes, what it doesn't, and the licence question.

Bovada still runs an affiliate program in October 2026, linked from the “Affiliate Program” entry in its site footer. Revenue share starts at 25% of net gaming revenue (NGR), rises to 30% and 35% as your monthly NGR grows, and pays 45% on casino NGR in any month it tops $50,000. CPA is offered to selected affiliates only. What Bovada does not publish is just as important: there is no stated minimum payout, payment method, payment date or negative-carryover rule on the public page.

We read the affiliate page and its tier chart through a US connection on 8 October 2026, along with Bovada’s footer and terms. We may be paid by some programmes listed on this site.

Who is behind Bovada, and what about the licence?

Bovada’s footer says the site is “licensed and regulated by the Union of the Comoros and the Central Reserve Authority of Western Sahara”. It gives no licence number and no company name, so there is nothing an affiliate can look up on a regulator’s register. The clearest public record of who runs the brand comes from the Massachusetts Attorney General, whose office sent a cease-and-desist letter on 3 October 2024 to Bovada’s operators, naming Harp Media B.V.

Bovada holds no US state licence. Its terms list 19 states plus Washington, DC where it does not accept players, and that list has grown after state enforcement letters. For an affiliate, the practical point is that the operator’s licence offers you no recourse in a payment dispute, and promoting the brand in a state that has acted against it is a risk you carry yourself.

Verdict for affiliates

Bovada is one of the best-known US-facing brands, and its sportsbook, casino, poker room and racebook all count toward one commission figure. The tier chart is clear and the 45% casino rate is high. But the public page leaves the money mechanics unwritten, the licence cannot be verified, and the application process screens hard. If you need a published contract before you sign, start with the programmes in our affiliate programs directory, most of which publish thresholds and carryover rules.

Commission tiers

Tier name Monthly NGR Revenue share
Starter $0 to $10,000 25%
All-Star $10,000.01 to $40,000 30%
Baller $40,000.01 to $50,000 35%
Champion $50,000.01 and up 35%, and 45% on casino NGR

The page explains the structure in two lines. Option A is revenue share of up to 35% of net revenue from the sportsbook, racebook, casino and poker room, set by the total net revenue you earn in the calendar month; once casino revenue passes $50,000 in a month, the casino portion pays 45%. Option B is a CPA deal, available to selected affiliates only: you create an affiliate account first, then ask the management team whether you qualify.

Worked example

Suppose your referrals produce $62,000 of NGR in November, of which $54,000 comes from the casino and $8,000 from sports and poker. You are in the Champion tier, so the casino share pays 45% ($24,300) and the rest pays 35% ($2,800), for $27,100. In a quieter month with $9,500 of NGR across all products, you sit in Starter and earn $2,375. The gap between tiers is wide, which rewards sites that can concentrate volume in single months.

How NGR is calculated beyond “net gaming revenue” is not spelled out on the page. Bonuses, chargebacks and payment costs are commonly deducted in programmes of this kind, so ask your account manager for the written definition before you build forecasts.

What the public page does not tell you

Term Published by Bovada? What to ask before you join
Minimum payout No Threshold and whether balances roll forward
Payment methods No Crypto, wire or other, and any fees
Payment date No (“reliable, regular commission payments”) Day of month and currency
Negative carryover No Whether a losing month reduces later commission
Cookie length No (a “small tracking cookie” is mentioned) Attribution window and last-click rules
CPA amount No Qualifying deposit and baseline per player

Older reviews quote figures for some of these, including our own earlier page. We could not confirm them on any Bovada source in October 2026, so we leave them out. Get every one of these terms in writing from your account manager.

Applying: what Bovada checks

The “Become a Bovada Affiliate” button opens a checklist before you reach the sign-up form, which is hosted on revenuenetwork.com. Applications are denied or delayed unless you:

  • give a valid URL that is your own (bovada.lv or google.com are refused as examples);
  • link the specific social media page you will use, not just facebook.com or twitch.com;
  • answer four questions if you promote offline, covering past offline promotions, sign-up and depositor results with other gaming companies, your marketing plan and your planned promotions;
  • confirm your email from the verification message, or the application is denied.

After approval, reports show sign-ups, depositing players, NGR by product and commissions, and you can drill down to product level. Bovada also mentions special initiatives for top performers, without details.

Where Bovada traffic is worth something

Bovada is built for North American players, and its terms exclude 19 US states plus DC. Traffic from those states earns nothing, and so does traffic from countries Bovada restricts in its help centre. Outside North America the brand has little pull.

The legal exposure is the bigger question. State regulators have sent letters to offshore operators, and some states treat promoting unlicensed gambling as an offence in its own right. Australian rules tighten too: ACMA says activity-based affiliate commissions are banned from 1 January 2027. Our notes for bitcoin casino webmasters cover geo-blocking and disclosures, and our overview of the bitcoin gambling market explains why offshore US brands lean so heavily on crypto deposits.

Who should consider it

Large US sports and poker sites that already work with offshore books will find the tiers attractive, particularly if casino revenue can push past $50,000 in a month. Small sites, anyone who needs a written payment schedule, and publishers outside North America should look at programmes with published terms first. Our review method explains why we weight unpublished payout rules heavily, and the guide to becoming a crypto casino affiliate covers what to ask before signing any agreement.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Bovada affiliate program pay?

Revenue share is 25% up to $10,000 of monthly NGR, 30% up to $40,000 and 35% above that. In a month where casino NGR exceeds $50,000, the casino portion pays 45%.

Does Bovada offer CPA to affiliates?

Only to selected affiliates. You create an affiliate account first, then ask the Bovada management team whether you qualify for a CPA deal.

What is the Bovada affiliate minimum payout?

Bovada does not publish one on its affiliate page, nor does it publish payment methods, payment dates or a negative carryover rule. Ask for them in writing.

Who operates Bovada?

The site names no company. The Massachusetts Attorney General named Harp Media B.V. in a cease-and-desist letter of 3 October 2024, and Bovada holds no US state licence.

Why might a Bovada affiliate application be denied?

Bovada denies or delays applications without your own valid URL, a specific social media page, answers for offline promoters, or a verified email address.
