Facebook has recently posted its job opening for a senior lawyer with experience in legalities relating to blockchain and payments.
It can be recalled that the social media giant hinted at running its own blockchain-based project. Following this, there were reports stating Facebook started hiring blockchain tech specialists. Now it is looking for a lead commercial counsel whose job description reads:
“You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts related to the blockchain initiatives, including partnerships to market and expands such products internationally. Specifically, Facebook prefers a candidate who has experience in terms of resolving legal issues brought about by the application of blockchain and payment systems. This is on top of having a J.D. degree and years of experience in technology deals, among others.
